Yoga Therapists
Sherry Brourman P.T. E-RYT 500
Sherry has been a physical therapist in private practice since 1978, and a yoga teacher, teacher trainer and yoga therapist for over ten years. Sherry is a teacher with tremendous passion, combining the science of physical therapy with the holistic wholehearted healing intention of yoga, in every aspect of her work. Her own severe back, created the profound insight that became the groundwork for her to create a system of movement based healing. This is the foundation for her book, Walk Yourself Well (Hyperion 1998) and has been translated and distributed in five countries. She teaches her Gait Therapy Certification program to healthcare professionals nationally. Yoga therapy, became the confluence of all of the tools Sherry had gathered for her healing work. At her clinic, Sherry sees patients and clients on a one on one basis, and in group yoga therapy classes.

Leslie Kazadi CYT, RYT
From ballet to boxing, Leslie has been exploring movement her entire life. 15 years ago, this exploration brought her to yoga. She was so inspired by this transformative practice that she became a teacher. She did her teacher training at Yoga Works in 2001 and then assisted that training in 2004. In 2005, she became involved in an NIH-funded study on yoga for seniors with hyper kyphosis through the geriatrics department of UCLA. Her background in massage and volunteer work in hospice proved invaluable tools as she took over the study and found her passion: teaching seniors. In 2007, she collaborated in the design of a study proposal for healthy seniors through the biokinesiology department of USC and will be leading that study. She also led a pilot study of yoga for seniors with Parkinson’s Disease through USC in 2007 and will lead an expanded study this spring. Her love for and fulfillment in working with seniors and those with dis-ease led her to LMU and a 2-year certificate program in yoga therapy.
Co-teaching and assisting: Eve Baldwin, Ann Braden, Keri Frankenstein, Mariana Murr, Chani Nicholas, Teri Roseman, Gina Shelton.
