  • They’re distinctly about need, history, and goals. Most sessions are a combination of all 3. For more recent pain we would be PT centric. For persistent pain we would be YT centric, and likely add gait.

  • I feel grateful to have learned during the pandemic that these were indeed doable and effective. I love first sessions to be in person/live and we can do either.

  • We get to know each other. We do gait and movement analysis. If it’s yoga therapy we do posture analysis.

  • We develop our movement patterns within the ways that we learn to walk. We watch parents and friends and these patterns get set up for life. They change of course with injuries, exercise, development, but the primary patterns remain recognizable.

  • Yes.

  • I am a registered physical therapist in the state of CA and a C-IAYT (Certified yoga therapist). If the insurance you purchased covers either of these I can provide the forms you will need to submit. Sadly I am not a medicare provider. Please speak to me if this is a concern.

  • Community, learning how postures fit your body, learning to use your breath for calm.

  • It allows Sherry to know what to watch for, and to weave in elements that would address what she sees during class.

  • Yoga includes all of our facets of being. The physical body is reflective of all of them. The more we massage and connect all of them, the more therapeutic the class becomes.

  • Ideally 1-2x per week. And make it fit your schedule.

  • Often, but it’s fun homework like - while brushing your teeth, do this OR while watching TV, do that.

  • Mats, blocks, stretchy bands, and juggling balls.

  • I send an invite, usually the night before, and sometimes day of, but you will get an invite if you are signed up.

  • One student per class is welcome to attend live, by appointment only.
